GOOGLE HOAXES AND EASTER EGGS


Easter Egg in Computing

In computer software, Easter Eggs are secret responses that occur in response to an undocumented set of commands.

Videogame cheat codes are a specific type of Easter egg, in which entering a secret command will unlock special powers or new levels for the player.

Easter Eggs serve an important purpose: helping productivity, by keeping programmers happy.

Easter Eggs are also found in Microsoft windows operating system. In Pinball game in Microsoft Windows, typing in “hidden test” (with the space) and pressing enter will allow the user to drag the pinball around with the mouse.


SOME GOOGLE.COM HOAXES


  1. Search “Do a barrel roll” or “ Z or r twice” on firefox and chrome and the screen will do a 360 spin.
  2. Searching for “askew” or “tilt” using firefox, safari or chrome will cause the search results to be displayed at a slight angle.
  3. Doing a google Image Search  for “Atari Breakout” will launch a playable version of the video game.
  4. Searching for “Conway’s Game of Life” produces the Life simulation described by Conway.
  5. Open www.google.com & click on “I’m Feeling Lucky” button without typing anything, then it will display past google logo’s.
  6. In google search field type “ google in 19980” will take you actual search result for google as it was in 1998, complete with their original user interface and logo, as well as a “Take me back to 2013” button


These tricks are nice, surprised as we find them secret
